TCG日本支部は、2008年の3月に設立されたTCGの中で最初の地域支部です。JRFは、TCG技術の普及を目的とし、日本における普及活動および、実利用や実験を通して世界に対してその経験をフィードバックする役割をはたしています。JRFでは、公開ワークショップを開催している他、セキュリティー業界における最新技術をテーマに技術勉強会、TCG技術を用いたハンズオンセミナー等を開催しております。
2024年現在、Intel Corporationの竹井淳氏、STマイクロエレクトロニクス(株)の 安藤 万理江氏がTCG日本支部（JRF）の共同議長を務めており、約80名（20を超える会員企業/組織）が登録しております。

Standards-based Trusted Computing technologies developed by TCG members now are deployed in enterprise systems, storage systems, networks, embedded systems, and mobile devices and can help secure cloud computing and virtualized systems.
Trusted Computing Group announced that its TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) Library Specification was approved as a formal international standard under ISO/IEC (the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission). TCG has 90+ specifications and guidance documents to help build a trusted computing environment.
